Ticket sales has launched

09.12.2022

Advance ticket sales has started via Ticketcorner.ch. In collaboration with the SBB, all tickets include free arrival and departure within the entire Swiss public transport network.

Just in time for Christmas and around 8 months before the opening ceremony of the IFSC Climbing World Championships 2023, advance sales for tickets to the IFSC Climbing World Championships 2023 in Bern have started on Saturday, 10 December 2022. From 1-12 August 2023, the international sport climbing elite will gather in the PostFinance Arena. Right in the middle of it all, the Paraclimbing World Championships, climbing for people with disabilities, are being held. In total, the organisers expect over 50,000 spectators, with up to 10,000 guests cheering on a competition in the hall specially converted for the World Championships. An attractive supporting programme, spectacular productions and entertaining competitions ensure that the visit is a unique experience.

Attractive admission prices

Tickets are only required for the days of the final – entry to all qualifying competitions and the semi-finals in the combined Bouldering & Lead discipline are free. Admission prices for the finals start at just CHF 43, and special family tickets make the visit particularly attractive for families. Young people and people with disabilities benefit from a discount. For the exclusive experience, the World Championships offers attractive hospitality offers.

With Ticketcorner.ch, an experienced partner was found to handle the ticketing. Tickets are therefore exclusively on sale at Ticketcorner.ch and at Ticketcorner advance booking offices.

Collaboration with SBB as part of the sustainability concept

Thanks to a collaboration with SBB, the entry ticket for the World Championships includes free travel to and from Bern within the entire Swiss public transport network on the day that the ticket is valid. This measure is an important step towards an event that is as climate-neutral as possible. The issue of sustainability plays an integral role in the organisation of the World Championships. The OC works with the pillars For allFor the environmentFor the young. The inclusion of the Paraclimbing World Championships, the reuse of materials and the commitment to donate any profit to the promotion of amateur and professional sports are just a few of the extensive measures.

6 days of finals with up to 10,000 spectators

The fight for the title lasts a total of 12 days. On six days, athletes will compete for medals in the disciplines Lead, Boulder and Speed, as well as the new “Boulder&Lead” combined Olympic format in front of up to 10,000 spectators. The most successful athletes in the Speed and Boulder&Lead disciplines secure the first starting places for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, in addition to the World Championships medals. Some of the qualifications also take place in the nearby curling hall.

Renowned support for the World Championships

In addition to the significant support from the leading partner Migros Genossenschaft Aare and the premium partner Cornèrcard, further supporters have been acquired in recent months. SWICA, Mountain Hardwear, Unparallel and SBB are now committed to a successful World Championships in Bern.
